OVER THINKING

This piece was one that I have previously painted, representing the breaking point of overflowed emotions. I believe that this piece not only most accurately represented emotional expression, but I think that it is much more meaningful given the fact that it came from my own raw emotions during a time of distress. The painting is a minimalist painting, meant to be kept vague in regards to the subject of the photo. This idea helps to represent the fact that everybody experiences emotional distress, and that unfortunately, it is often a breaking point that prompts us to express ourselves. My painting is aimed to emphasize the importance of healthy emotional expression before emotions become too dicult to handle.
AIMLESS WITH PURPOSE

This watercolor painting shows somebody in outer space balancing on the “rings” of a planet, as they are walking “aimlessly” with “purpose.” This painting is one that I think captures the reality of stress relief, as the image can have an infinite amount of perspectives, just as can outer space. Everybody has different outlets when it comes to stress relief, and I believe that the minimalistic and lighthearted theme of my painting is a great way to represent that.
