RAYMOND HEALY

For this piece, I looked to the Optical Art Movement of Modern Art for inspiration. I really enjoy this movement as it is very interesting to look at and tricks the eye into viewing shapes that are not there. I felt as though the medium of permanent ink, on a clean white background would work best to create the illusion. I spent a few hours looking for inspiration and the piece itself took about two and a half hours to complete.
